Your designs and files
Effective November 6, 2026
Overlay Studio has no accounts. This page explains what is stored, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What stays in your browser
Your design is first saved in your own browser. Stream Graphics runs entirely in your browser, and its pictures are never uploaded. Goal progress, counters and recent supporter names are kept in the browser inside OBS.
What is saved on our server
When you press Get OBS links, or upload a file, your design is saved on our server so that your OBS links can update. This includes everything in your design, such as text, colours and your Twitch channel name if you added one.
Your browser keeps a secret key that lets you change the design. We store only a scrambled version of that key. To limit abuse, we count uploads using a scrambled version of your internet address that changes daily. We do not keep the address itself.
Who can see it
Anyone who has one of your overlay links can read that design, and anyone who has a file's link can see that file. Treat these links as you would any public link, and don't put private information in your design.
Upload rules
You can upload pictures and sounds up to 2 MB each. By uploading, you confirm that you have the right to use the file. Do not upload anything illegal, hateful, sexual, or that copies someone else's work without permission.
We may remove any file or design that breaks these rules, and storage may be limited or changed at any time. Keep your own copies of your files.
Deleting your data
In Overlay Studio, press Get OBS links, then Delete online overlay. This removes your design and all your uploaded files, and your OBS links stop working. You can also delete single files from your file library.
