Your data and NOVA
Effective November 4, 2026
This policy explains how NOVA BOT ("NOVA"), a Discord bot made by ZunimiLabs, and its web dashboard handle information. Questions or deletion requests: debarshiparasar.business@gmail.com.
What NOVA stores
NOVA stores only what its features need, in its own database:
- Server settings: the modules you turn on and the channels, roles and messages you choose for them, stream-alert subscriptions, custom commands, reaction-role panels, premium status and redeemed codes.
- Member activity used by features: Discord user IDs with XP and levels, coin balances, warnings (with the moderator and reason), open tickets, giveaway entries, poll and suggestion votes, birthdays you set, reminders you create, and AFK status.
- CHATDOOM link: if a server connects the CHATDOOM app, NOVA stores the server key, role and invite rules, links between a viewer's stream chat account and their Discord account, short-lived link codes, and payment alerts (name, message, amount, currency) for up to three days.
Message content
NOVA reads messages in servers it is in, using Discord's Message Content permission, to run automod, leveling, custom commands, AFK replies and the starboard. Message text is not saved in NOVA's database. If a server enables the server-watcher log, edited and deleted messages are posted to that server's log channel; ticket transcripts are posted to the server's chosen channel. Those copies live in the server's own Discord channels.
Dashboard sign-in
When you sign in to the dashboard with Discord, NOVA receives your Discord user ID, username, avatar and the list of servers you can manage. It keeps these in a login session (up to 7 days) to show the servers you may configure. It does not receive your email or password.
Services NOVA calls
- Discord, to run the bot.
- YouTube, Twitch and Kick, for public channel and live-stream information used by alerts.
- Anthropic (Claude): questions sent with
/ask, and chat text sent for CHATDOOM translation, are sent to Anthropic's API to generate the answer. - MyMemory: text you translate with
/translateis sent to the MyMemory translation service. - Open Trivia Database, for trivia questions (no user data is sent).
- Stripe, only if you buy premium: payment is handled by Stripe, and NOVA receives only the server and the purchase result.
- Music playback fetches audio from third-party sources you search for.
These providers handle data under their own terms and privacy policies. NOVA does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
Server data is kept while NOVA is in the server and you use the feature. Server admins can change or clear most data with the dashboard and slash commands. To have all data for a server or for your Discord account deleted, email debarshiparasar.business@gmail.com with the server or user ID. Removing NOVA from a server stops all collection for that server.
Children and changes
NOVA follows Discord's age requirements and is not meant for children under the minimum age in your country. This policy may change as NOVA changes; the effective date above is updated when it does.
